-
- Prayers to expel evil spirits
- For people in their yakudoshi (unlucky years) and toshiotoko/toshionna (men/women born in a year with the same Chinese zodiac sign as the current year)
-
- Prayers for infants visiting the temple for the first time
- Prayers for the sound growth of infants (one month to 100 days after birth). The first visit to the temple, which is an important ceremony at the beginning of your child’s life, has the significant meaning of presenting a new member of the family to Amida Buddha and seeking divine assistance. For parents, taking their child to the temple for the first time can be an opportunity to show appreciation for the lives they have been given by their parents and ancestors.
-
- Prayers for shichigosan (festival for 3-, 5- and 7-year-old children)
- Prayers for the sound growth and health of children. This is an important family ceremony to encounter the teachings of Amida Buddha, thank Amida and your ancestors for peaceful days and pray for the sound growth of your child in the future.
